I am a naturopathic physician, licensed to provide services for childbearing women. I am in the midst of my own independent study in childbearing, myself. For the sake of simplicity, I am focusing my practice on the most powerful aspect of my training, the Arvigo Techniques™ of Maya Abdominal Massage. This treatment is an external massage of the upper and lower abdomen that repositions visceral organs and relieves congestion. Maya Abdominal Massage is especially warranted for women who suffer pain with menstruation. Virtually any disease of the reproductive organs will benefit from this treatment. I especially enjoy working with women who desire the experience of pregnancy and motherhood. In pregnancy, the same massage is employed to protect the ligaments holding the uterus in place, and to relieve the many common symptoms of pregnancy such as frequent urination and sacro-iliac pain. Regular care during pregnancy will assist the baby to choose an optimal position for birth. Due to my training in naturopathic medicine, I believe all people will benefit from the massage of gastro-intestinal organs. Naturopathic care is included in your visit.
